Newspapers: Oracles of Insanity Cloaked as Necessary Tidings

"The State has no intention of promoting mutual understanding and the relationship of man to man; it strives, rather, for atomization, for the psychic isolation of the individual. The more unrelated individuals are, the more consolidated the State becomes, and vice versa."
—Carl Jung, The Undiscovered Self

Yesterday, and for the first time in years, I sat down and read from cover to cover a selection of Irish mainstream newspapers. I never fully understood how alien and insane 'normal' Irish life has become to me until now, nor, what absolute slaves most Irish people have become to this nonsense. I am sure every other Western society is a similar reflection of this 'normalised' insanity in a world were mass media and politicians have never been more sympathetic to one another's pointless existence.

Every single 'news' story revolved around Government intervention and political solutions as if politicians are some kind of gods who can bequeath favours if we beg them hard enough. I mean everything, from the economy, apartment rents, to the arts to the music industry. How will our politicians repair all this stuff! Like asking a fish to build a bird's nest.

Finally, I get to the letter's pages and you could literally smell the booze off these self impressed letter writers who no doubt clip out their published narcissistic waffling and frame it for posterity. One letter even spoke of how the British Empire was an 'Empire of Love' and how all the former colonies have deep affection for the 'Motherland'. Others were 'serious' proposals by an impressive array of flatulent gobshites advising our politicians on how to solve some imaginary problem.

More than anything else, the sheer toxic and unhealthy nature of the 'journalists' themselves, with their 'I am a power broker' serious posed photo, as if these press release re-formatters ever had a single original opinion of their own. One of them warning that ISIS would attack Ireland and yet produced not a shred of evidence, nor any form of investigative reporting as to why ISIS gives a fuck about this damp island controlled by Bookies, Publicans and Property Developers.

If you want a real insight into how insane what passes for 'normality' is, then read a mainstream newspaper. Oh, and something called George Clooney - of the Council on Foreign Relations and who also dabbles in acting on the side - is getting married, it says so on a full page article.

  1. Very brave of you, I gave up that stuff a long time ago, those things are bad for you. Saying that my Bullshit filters have been increasing in strength a lot over the past 5 years.

Hope you recover fast from them, would love to see some more of the Viking thoughts you have, that really struck a chord with me.

  2. Back in the 1980s, I said that living on this planet was akin to being trapped in an asylum for the insane. The sane wander around looking for others who are as well. Of course, when I spoke my thoughts, I was looked at as if I'd suddenly grown two heads and a beard. Or, I was told I think too much. That's a bad habit, I'm told. Pretty telling, eh. I don't do their drugs willingly, (telly, newpapers, etc.), however I still breathe, eat and drink water. That's how they attempt to force-feed you their toxic mess. Thanks for all your efforts, Thomas. - Inmate #195173549250842. P.S. Have you read, "The Incredible Charlie Carawe" by Mary Astor??

  7. REALITY ANALYSIS

Governments are merely middlemen serf farm managers acting on behalf of the owners and the top-down pyramidal money system.

Intel services began as spies for royalty. They still exist to protect the establishment, not us.

Mass compulsory schooling started in Prussia c1800 to "produce more soldiers and more obedient citizens"

Theism and religion are man made tools of control exploiting man's existential vulnerability.

Military are nothing but duped whore cattle fighting lie-based wars of piracy for the establishment.

Police are the serf farm dogs, never pursuing highest level crime.

Society is ordered by a top-down pyramidal money system.

Mass media is plantation radio, owned by the establishment.

REALITY is we live on free range serf farms structured via a top-down pyramidal money system , maintained by mass conditioning schooling and mass programming media.

  8. Great article.

Although I avoid the mainstream media like hell, anything I read on occasion contains a few cliches the so-called journalist wants to pereptuate about daily reality. And the distortion starts very early.

In restrospect, I find teen magazines just as disgusting and brainwashing, if not more. They do their best to sexualise children and give them the most pathetic examples to follow. I grew up during the boyband era and it's shocking now to think back on a whole generation who adored those emasculated sad clowns with make up on who deliberately got 12-year-olds infatuated as a marketing technique. They distorted the whole concept of manhood, dignity, decency or a menaningful existence for that matter, as well as the idea of music itself. Of course one has to feel sorry for those poor sods as well; some were brought up in that system and totally exploited. People saw them as the ultimate examples of success when they were litterlly being fucked up the arse by those who controlled them.

Then there was the ''health advice'' which included pages on BDSM, sex toys and stuff like that (for readers aged 10-17 on average), plus so-called reader generated stories of first experiences which I now realise must've been written by old pervs. Creepy and infuriating. I imagine it's much worse now; I haven't opened one in almost 15 years.

It's sad to think our existence is so short and we waste our energy on all this nonsense...
